If you aren’t enjoying family life as much as you’d like, maybe due to challenging behaviour or feeling overwhelmed, some Parent Counselling might be helpful.

I meet both parents where possible for an initial assessment session to see what’s going on in your family and how it could be changed. Typically 3-4 further consultations would be used to work on positive techniques, tailored to your issues and the needs of each individual child.

Women and Identity

I specialise in helping women to clarify and resolve issues around identity, reproduction and what it means for you to desire or not desire to have children. Societal pressures and norms mean that the female experience of fertility and parenting is not the same as the male experience. You may be ‘child free’, ‘trying for a baby’ or already a mother and even if this was what you chose, you can feel very conflicted or distressed. Counselling can help you explore the full range of your feelings, identify the internal conflicts and understand their origins.
